Aby felt a tap on her shoulder making her jump, she turned only to find out it was just Chris her best friend.

What? he decided to finally come?
"Is this how to accompany me?" she asked him in anger, they were supposed to come together, she thought he stood her up.

"I'm so sorry princess, something came up but the good news is, I'm here now, be happy" He replied with a big smile on his face while Aby only rolled her eyes.

They both started gossiping about everyone in the room, from a girl whose dress was torn and she wasn't aware, to a man whose tie was not matching his suit, there was also a man who kept moving from one lady to another, they watched as he went over to another lady, they talked for a while and all of a sudden a slap hit his face, both Aby and Chris burst into quite a loud laughter alongside some other people who might have been observing.

"Finally, we will like to invite one of our most honored guest Miss. Aby Carrie to give a short speech" the MC said, all eyes turned towards Aby as she got on her feet to go up to the stage. She walked majestically as she went up with her head high.

There were hushed voices in the hall, some were taking pictures of her as she went up, there were cameras from reporters here and there.

"Eli has always been a good man, he has been a good friend and a good business associate, I was so happy to find out he was getting married and I felt he really deserves it, especially if he was marrying a good woman. Knowing his wife, I really am not sure of what to say but I wish them a blissful marriage, thank you!" She said and strode back to her seat.

Raquel followed her with her eyes, the face was just so familiar, she had always thought of it everytime she saw Aby on the news but saying she knew her just affirmed it, she had seen this lady before. long ago!

The party was now in full swing, buzz here and there, people dancing on the floor! Aby thought it will be nice to get herself a drink, so she went over to where the drinks were kept but on her way someone just had to bump into her and pour drink on her dress.

"The hell is wrong with you? Can't you look where you are going ?" Aby said in anger, this crazy lady just ruined her newly bought, crazily expensive dress. The lady in question just went on her way without even responding, Aby looked around and saw there were eyes on her and even cameras.

Aby smiled to herself, getting the lady's face stored to her brain because when she is done with her, she will regret walking on her. Gone are the days when she lets people disrespect her for nothing.
