Focussing dimensions...!

I blinked as I regained consciousness. I had hit my head hard, or had someone hit me? Then I realised I was holding a bloody knife in my hand.Hot blood flowed through my veins. My defensive energy arise at its zeneith.A tired mind and energised body..made alert by the emergency hormones.Only a defensive killing it was!Not at all offensive!.In that sense not a crime!.
When the tiger forced to attack our chief...There was no other way.The team members were looked afraid. It hit and crawled the chief's hand and pulled down a bit of flesh!
We were fully equipped when we go to the forest because we expect dangerous situations in our paths...Sometimes in the form of animals....Sometimes in the form of natural calamities. We were prepared to move somewhere...hide somewhere...strike and fight with our full strength. We have some weapons in our bags...with food and water facilities also.Old and new digital camaras with dust free lenses. There is no need to astonish! The main thing a wild life photographer need is to found and to take photographs of animals in the natural circumstances. For this photographic skills and field crafts skilks are essential.
There were five photographers in our team and a chief. He headed the planning to see the forest, instructing about our route, dangers, remedies. He is an award winner in wild life photography and skilled in its processing also.
We had abandoned everything in our land...for the sake of our exploration. The situation may sometimes be natural or artificial one.We were also interested to take photographs of birds...their ffood habits ...living...migration.So life as it's way to the forest is a different one! With high excitement in searching and discovering ...and stay as usual in leisures...So some ups and downs crazes...True and false understandings...but are with one attitude not different...targeting the prey only for hunger...the only ethics behind....for all animals in the forest But now a days some kindness and lovable scenes we saw among animals throughout our journey...Sometimes it is particular...!As per the evolutionary process, changes may again occur sometimes and they become far more better living beings!.
We tried to stop the blood in the hands of our chief. We called his son Viju to accompany us.But he denied our offer. While talking to him some of our team members feel some form of enemity in his words to his father.Though he was also a wild life photographer,he did not want to follow us...but wanted to remain as a freelancer above all relations
In the leisure hours of the journey,Which we haulted in tents,I thought about our chief and his son viju.He also is wandering in the forest, but two kilometres away but not interested to meet us.He had opposing thoughts for each aand every ideas or solutions putforth by us...hard approach...rebellious convictions...!
I too think..As a part of art... is photography...beauty of nature...mixed with love for living beings! A man of art and literature too is expected to be kind to all...having smooth deviations of mind...strongly attached...easily insulted...weakly rebellious...poorly hateful...quickly attracted...wisely understandable...but here he is different !!!
I can't understand him ! When the lobes of my eyes hardens with sleep ,that night I stopped thinking. We have enough instructions to take necessary injections to our chief for his early recovery than oral medicines.
The next day we wake up with sharp sound of hornbills in the nearby tree.Arun and sajin took some pictures. Our chief said them not to waste films as we can see hornbills in our places. But they said that the picture seems a different one with in the deep forest.
When I pour some coffee from the kettle to the mug,I said to our team captain "Jack sir,we have viju in the forest....two kilometres away...Shall I call him once more?It will make you feel relaxed...."He just make a smile and said a half completed answer "If he loves to come with us....."
An adventurous man's life is sometimes like that.Above relations He found his spirit attached to nature!...with other living beings...love towards people is only such a shrinked or selfish emotion within a limited space...but love for nature is a vast concept with no need to make someone understand and no room for any misunderstandings...
As a wild life photographer,I have some different attitudes...that one needs some more years in life....being young!...proving their active path with discoveries...proving their lovable part with family....This human life with short life span was not enough for an artist...a researcher...Can he complete his discoveries with these years...Can he keep up all his responsibilities in family life with these years?
"Who will care you..when you are too old?.It was a common doubt from my side.As viju's mother is no more...Who will take care of you other than viju"I asked. He usually said"A tiger ...one day...came ..that will be my end...!..With seconds...minutes....uneasiness...that is all....
That thought here has come true.He looked fearlessly by which a tiger's dead body aside. It was caught with the help of a rope knot made by our team members and was killed by me when it jumped towards our chief and tried to kill him.
We moved all around to take expressive photographs...climb upwards and sometimes crawl downwards to get on the animal level and focussed on its eyes and make sure,It looks directly into the lens.In some dangerous situations or a slip moving towards a disaster, the team captain asked us to fix cameras in the deep forest...as it is more safe for the animal to reach without any such external intrudements.we move infront of lions, elephants monkeys,horses...most animals, eagles ,vultures,sparrows...most birds also...
When we move in an open jeep to see the beauty of the forest, above the rock...interested in staring at the waterfall...a sharp crawling hand plugged in the shoulder of the chief...No ,It is not viju...but a tiger! which made us stunned!!Though our hands longing for .....but we realise that there is no weapon or rope for us to hold on... nearby!!!
