CHAPTER 3
THE PRANK.
It was a new day and the sun was shinning very brightly. You could hear noise coming over from Kiara's room booming with loud music oblivious to the fact that her mum told her to switch it off.

Kiara came out of the room with a towel around her body. Now being eighteen you can see her sprouting into a fine lady. She was just nodding her head up and down when she screamed loudly.

Over the next house stood Dav looking over at her. He smirked when he heard her screaming.

Hey! You pervert! What are you looking at.All this while u said you are a gentleman. Arent you ashamed, sneaking glances in my room

Dav giggled and replied "Who is the pervert here... besides there is nothing to see.. You still look like a kid... too straight "

Kiara grinded her teeth, threw a angry glance at him and closed the window folds. All this while muttering to herself.
Who does he think he is...... I will show him that am Kiara.. Ah!

An idea popped up in her head and she giggled with an evil smile on her face...ah bunny just wait for me you will enjoy my little surprise.

Even though they are all grown up, Dav and Kiara still acted like kids. Playing pranks on each other every now and them.
One time Dav dressed up like a ghost and scared the shit out of Kiara. Even though it was a prank it still hunted her at night as she thought there really was a ghost in her room.
Kiara always made sure she got back at Dav by playing a prank on him.
And this time around she will make him regret laughing at her.

As usual Dav not knowing Kiara was planning against her kept on teasing her and she endured all this while. The urge to play a prank on him getting really strong.
So few days later, Kiara held a party in her house inviting everyone else including Dav. She pestered him to agree since he knew he didn't like such outings.

However how can she let him escape as she had planned everything for him.
"Come on Dav, don't be this way. Its just a party anyway"
"Yeah, I know that's why I said am not coming over"
But am your friend for gods sake...... you can't say no to your bestie can you?. Please just this once, and I won't ask you out again". Kiara said looking at him with her puppy eyes which she knew he wouldn't reject.

"Kiara don't give me that look, it won't work on me". After all that's what she uses to trap him.
Kiara made as though she wanted to cry and Dav had no option but to say yes.All this while Kiara laughed in her head and smiled.. Gotcha!..... Now Dav you can't escape.
Finally, it was the day of the party. All the people invited were dressed up. Some came to accompany others.. while some as you all know came to look for a companion. It was a teens party besides these things we're common.
Some girls were throwing glances at the hot handsome guys to catch their attention and some sure had luck on their side.
Kiara as usual, was looking here and there frantically looking for Dav anxious as to why he wasn't around. He had to be as the party was made purposely for him.
Not long after, the hall went silent as everyone looked to the door to catch a glimpse of the center of attraction. It was none other than Dav looking all handsome in his dress with a displeased expression on his face. Obviously he wasn't comfortable with such a place as crowdy as this one.

Kiara was so happy when he spotted him. Dav searched for Kiara and after locating her, started moving towards.

Who knew that was just what Kiara wanted. Just as Dav got to the middle of the room, what happened made the whole room gasp and hold their breath.

Just as he got to the middle of the room, Kiara gave a sign and immediately a bag full of powder and water was released on Dav.
While everyone gasp, Kiara walked up to him all this while smiling smugly.

"In your face.. hehe.. Hope you like your surprise "
All this while the others were trying as much as possible to hold in their laughter but they failed terribly as they couldnt control their laughter.

Dav for once had an ugly expression on his face. One which Kiara had never seen before. He glared at her and stormed out of the party obviously angry.

Kiara who obviously wasn't expecting such reaction felt a little bit fear in her heart. Something told her things we're not going to end well.
She tried calling Dav back to apologize to her but he didn't even mind her, ignoring her as if he couldn't hear her cries of calling his name.

Kiara was at lost as to what to do. All excitement vanishing away at a rate she didn't even know. She didn't have any zeal to enjoy the party again. She stood at the doorway looking into the darkness at loss.

CHAPTER 4
APOLOGIES.
As the days went by Kiara saw little of Dav it was like he was avoiding her or just as she thought so. He wasnt seen at home either and when she calls it is always transferred to the voice machine. The only time Dav picked up he didn't talk for long claiming he was busy.

Kiara thought hard and decided to meet up with Dav, as a treat and use that opportunity to apologize to him as she wasn't sure she wanted to lose the friendship she has with Dav. Not when she realized she was falling for him little by little.

She couldn't bring herself to let him go. She decided to visit Dav's mum to pass on a message to Dav for her. Little did she know that all this while Dav had forgotten all about the incident and that had other things occupying him.

The reason for him being busy was as a result of him putting things in place to build up the company he had been planning for years. Besides everything was in progress and that it required his full attention

As high as his IQ is, he put measures in place to build up one of the companies that will yet to be known world wide.

Dav after returning from his long trip received a letter from his mum telling him its from Kiara. He was curious as to what is in the letter.

As he opened the letter this is wat he read
Hey bunny,
Is me Kiara your friend, I hope u still remember me. The girl who proposed to you the first time she met you. I know you still remember even though you are avoiding me.

Well I wanted to say am sorry for what I did to you the last time. Ah well am sorry but like seriously I missed how you looked with the powder and water all over you. Haha. I don't know why you are avoiding me but well I think we are even. You remember when u scared the shit out of me and made fun at me.

Wanted to get back at you. Well to be precise I want to make it up to you. How about we go out tonight. Its my treat. To your favorite ice cream shop.

I don't know if you still like ice cream but that will be wat I will be getting for you. So you better get your self ready and come pick me up.
P. S.. Don't forget your wallet cause you will be paying and don't be late.

CHAPTER 5
ICE CREAM TREAT.
After Dav, read the letter he smiled and shook his head. He was really amused. Besides during his long trip he really missed Kiara, the girl who could make him smile without any reason to. Hmm...... if only she liked him just as he also liked him, more than a friend.

If he had his way, he would have wanted them to take their friendship to another level. But since all is well with her by his side. He is prepared to wait for her even if it takes a whole lifetime for her to realize it, he would wait. Well since she says she wants them to go out, then why not.

In the evening Dav dressed well and went over to Kiara's house to pick her up. Her mum opened the door when he rung the bell.
" Hey, Dav my son how you doing. Hope everything is fine.How is your mum too."

"She is fine, aunty. Everything is also fine. Aunty where is Kiara?. Can't see her around. "

All this while he looked around looking for her. Good for someone who asked him not to be late. Now here he was waiting for her. He wondered why she was taking long to dress up.

"Oh she will be here soon. Can I get you something to drink?. If I may asked where are you off to dressed all up?. Kiara's mum asked a little curious.

"Aunty is alright am fine. Will be eating out with Kiara tonight. Its actually I long time I took her out. Guess its something to while away the time".

"Oh then you guys have fun". This time Kiara's mum called out her daughter as she realized Dav kept on looking at the time even though he didn't want her to notice it.

She really admired him, besides he has grown into a fine young man. It wouldn't be bad if he ended up with her daughter. She smiled at herself and made it a point to discuss it with her husband.

Over at Kiara's end she was having difficulty choosing a dress since she didn't know what to put on. Hearing her mum's voice downstairs, she figured Dav had arrived.

She decided and settled on a light blue fitting dress with a heel and a purse to match. She then did a light makeup and added a gloss on her lips. Looking satisfied with her appearance she headed downstairs.

Dav, who was talking with Kiara's mum looked up the stairs when Kiara was coming down and for only that moment he stopped breathing. It was like only the two of them existed in this world.
Shit! How come he didn't realize that his baby girl is all grown up. He was so mesmerized with how she looked. So pure, innocent, he really had the urge to walk up to her and keep her in his embrace.

Away from all others and that he will be the only one to see her everyday. He then made a mental note to keep watch over her so as no one tends to hurt her. Besides she was only his and no one else.

He snapped out of the daydreaming and smiled as his lips curved upwards. Those smile that Kiara always loves.

"Ho! Just see who got here.So much for someone who asked me to come early. You took forever in you room why, are we going for a fashion show".

Dab decided to tease her. He really missed her while he was away.

Kiara pouted her mouth pitifully and said stomping her feet like a six year old girl"Mum you see what I told you. Dav always like picking up on me. See what he is doing now".

Dav smiled when he saw her childish behavior. "Come on Kiara, he was just kidding... "Her mum said and looked at Dav. "Now you guys should be heading out and late you take care of my little princess for me.''
"Will do mum don't worry''.

"Kiara, let's go or we will be late." When Kiara walked towards him he held her close and whispered into her ears"You look beautiful tonight".

Kiara smiled and look up at him her early fears that she had of him being angry at him went away. Dav held her and opened the car for her as he sat in the drivers seat and drove away.

As they got to the ice cream shop they got a place that was private and sat to chat ad they wait for their order. With this opportunity, Kiara decided to apologize to Dav.

"Hey bunny! am really sorry for what happened the other time. It wasn't mg intention to make you angry I hope you can forgive me. I won't repeat such mistake again."

"And why should I forgive you. After everything you did".
"Come on it isn't fair, Kiara retorted. You also do same to me and I always forgive you. So why can't you forgive me? "

Dav looked at her pitiful face as she looked as if she wanted to cry and decided that he had teased her enough.
"You don't really have to bother apologizing. Besides I have even forgotten all about what happened. Its just have been busy lately that's why you weren't seeing me around. I went on a trip. "

Kiara squint her eyes and looked at him.... 'Wait! wait! wait!, you mean all this while as I was busy worrying about this matter, you have even forgotten?.
Dav laughed softly and responded; "Yeah and I don't really know what you wer worried about".

As they we're about to get into one of their bantering, their order arrived so they concentrated and ate. All this while Kiara couldn't stop commenting on how sweet the ice cream was.

"Aahh! Why is this ice cream so sweet. Humm, yummy so yummy. The flavour is just superb... I wonder what they used to make it".

Dav sat there and looked at her as she continued. He smiled when he realized how she behaved like a six year old girl. With some of the cream spreading at the conour of her mouth.
Dav reached out to wipe it away with his fingertip. Who knew it was going to cost him.

After wiping the cream Kiara who say it without thinking licked the cream from his finger. Dav hesitated to move his finger from her mouth and Kiara sucked on it like a six year old girl.

Kiara didn't see much about it. But for Dav he just looked at her to have her way. Besides what he felt when those beautiful lips of ghee fell on his finger was just wonderful.

After, eating to their fill, the bill was brought and it was left for them to pay up. Dav stretched forth his hand to his pocket area to bring out his wallet when he slapped his forehead in frustration.
Who knew this will happened because he was in a hurry to come over he left his wallet on the bed.

Kiara who realized that something was wrong smiled at the waiter as hlhe went back to attend to others.Kiara bent forward and spoke to Dav in a whisper.

"What is wrong, why are you not paying up. I informed you will be paying didn't I? "
"Don't freak out, so its like this. I think I left my wallet. I was in a hurry to meet up".
"What the f***. I thought I informed you,what do you mean by you left tour purse. So how are we going to pay up for all the delicacies we just ate"Kiara asked.
Obviously she started up her brains to bring something up.
As they both sat thinking Kiara saw the waiter walk up to them.

All this while Dav looked at the expression of Kiara and couldn't help but laughed without her noticing. As it this time Kiara didn't know Dav had already paid for everything and that it was a plan made by him.

Before the waiter could get to their place he winked at him. A sign to tell him to get back. He then held Kiara's hand and pulled her to store room, took some funny costumes and gave it to Kiara to wear.

"Wait! she said with one of her eyebrow raised.What is that?You don't expect me to wear that do you?

"Of course, what else. Come on hurry up and put it on before someone sees us. That way we can be able to leave without anyone noticing ".

"Ohk.... but what about you won't you also change?. "

"No.. besides not many people know me here.. but for you they would recognize you. So hurry up. " Dav was trying his possible best not to burst out laughing as he turned his back to allow Kiara change.

After she had changed, Kiara almost looked like a clown. Dav secretly took a picture of her without her notice. He couldn't keep that smile off his face.
