Dumbstruck (Chapter 4)
I stepped into the class with him trailing my back.
Thank goodness Amie hadn't thought of leaving the seat next to mine empty. I heaved a sigh of relief. I was still gonna kill her.
As Chal sat ( behind Amie who was my seat partner), I handed the English notes back to their owners. Then, I reluctantly dragged myself to my seat beside Amie.
Our teacher, Miss Rachelle continued what she had been saying before the necessary interruption I had caused.
"So, how was it?" Amie whispered.
"You are so dead." I muttered under my breath before faking a smile.
She giggled, then brought her voice low again."I just faked a leg injury so he could get his book that I had purposely borrowed and forgotten in the lab. No big deal there."
"No big deal?" I wanted to scream my head off but managed to handle myself knowing exactly who was behind us.
"I fell and he landed on me. How big of a deal is that to you?" I whispered.
"OMG" she squealed.
The class went quiet and so did Miss Rachelle.
"Amie, is there something you'd like to share with the class."
"No ma'am," she blushed before looking down at her desk.
I thought she had finally kept quiet when she turned and whispered to me.
