What I had, What we can
My family is not rich, neither are we poor, if I were to be specific, were probably part of the lower middle class rank in society.

However, given our situation, my parents would still give me whatever I needed, as long as it's needed. When I asked for a new phone because my class needed to take pictures while I had a flip phone, they bought me one. When I needed a laptop to help with my studies, they bought me one. The things they bought I had to search as well, given that we had a budget, I stuck to prices relatively low with quality features.

I didn't get the best, but It's not the worst either, its what we can afford, its what we can have.

I study in a school, and I once met a classmate that was really well off. He had a good laptop, 2 times the price of mine. He had a great mouse, 3 times the price of mine. My classmate had better things than me, and when side by side, its easy to spot mine was cheaper than his by miles.

By now, the natural reaction would be jealousy; although I may have felt it, a greater realization came into mind.

His parents bought him what they can, given that they're expensive, they obviously have it better than I do. But then again so did I. The same as his, my parents bought me what they can afford, it wasn't as expensive, but it was all that I needed.

People would often time be jealous of what others have, and thats only natural. If they had gold and you had rocks, its a natural feeling to want what they have. But to put into context what can be afforded, is on a different level.

Not because its not as expensive as his, doesnt mean its bad. If a person spends his whole savings for something, then they've given up more than what a rich guy has.

Why I shared this story?
I'm just grateful to the people who always helped me and wanted ti share that.
