It was a warm day that day clear in my mind something that would change my life forever.

I remembered because I was really hot.

This was not due to the warm weather, it was that kind of hot when someone took something
from you and just ate it as if nothing happened.

I was just amazed staring through my shades seeing the guy who ate my ice cream “mmmm” let
me think what should I do next.

I waited for a second but it felt like forever and then I decided that it was enough today and I am
going to take my firm stand.

With enough thought I went up and in a kind voice I said “ sir you just grabbed my ice cream
and ate it “

He laughed and I just could not figure out why and then to my hotness he laughed again and
that is when I blew my top oh yes my top.
I got angry and I wanted to say something but immediately as soon as my tongue moved it
stopped and dead silence followed.

From a distance an elderly lady came running to me and grabbed his hand and said to her son
come let us go and she handed him his walking stick.

He was blind but did not have his walking stick and neither glasses although it seemed as if he
was looking at me & I wondered why his eyes did not react to my loss.

Then I realised he was blind and what hit me the most was that saying never judge a book by its
cover over and over those words had turned in my mind.

We sometimes see people as having a walking stick and dark glasses if blind , what I meant
was we see people the way we perceive them but in reality they different once we get to know
them in person over time.

Like the saying goes we all strangers walk in a street but what brings people together is a
natural disaster , a funeral or a wedding.

I learnt the biggest lesson that day that “ My Ice Cream was Eaten”
