Letter To My Friend
Hello my friend, my love. I've been missing you and thinking of the the time we had together.
I remember the day we met, you were here on visa working part time at my company, I tried to ignore you but you had the most devastatingly beautiful smile I had ever seen.
You tried to talk to me though I could hardly understand you, but you didn't give up.
You taught me how to not be judgmental of people who are not from my on little world. I spent hours listing to stories about your couture and religion. Sometimes I felt like I was there.
I discovered that I like Indian music and some movies.
You were honest with me about everything from the beginning, I new you would have to leave, that your mother would choose a wife for you from your cast. I raged at your God's and my God but I honored you and bowed to your traditions.
My heart felt like it was in a vice the day you left, and I couldn't breath I still feel like I can't breath some times, but I was brave I didn't cry until I was sure you were gone.
The memories sometimes make me cry, but they also sometimes make me smile.
Maybe if we had met in another century or I was a different person it could have worked.
Just know that I love you and I always will.
I wish you all the blessings that the Gods bestow on you.
Who knows maybe you will find this letter some day.
With all my love forever and always
Your friend.
