Why did God give us a new commandment?
in John 13: 34 -35 the Lord says he has given us a new commandment .this is because there was an old one which we do not need to keep because it is replaced by the new one. LOVE [the agape-love God kind love ]must be the distinguishing mark of Christ-followers. this love is a self-giving and sacrificial love that seeks the good of others. The Old commandments are the Commandments contained in the law that we handed over to Moses, but Jesus said all the Commandments are encapsulated in the new one. the new commandment give you the creation, a command to love this is the way to distinguish Christians from non-Christian
