The masked girl (chapter 6: vicky and vetal)
Next day
It was almost 7:30am in the morning. Abhi, a 10 year old , opened Priya's room door. He didn't know anything about Anu. He came in with a jug of water and said to himself, "Priya makes me her alarm clock every morning but never wakes up. She has crossed all boundaries today. She has put pillows on the other side to confuse me! I will teach her a lesson."
He simply poured a jug of water on both of them. Both of them woke up in shock.
As Abhi saw Anu, he began shouting, "Ghost......!! Mom, dad, ghost!!!" and ran from there.
Anu ran behind, caught him, lifted him up and said," Ghost rider! calm down. I'm Priya's friend, Anu. I came home last night when you were asleep."
"Oh! okay" said Abhi.
"Friends?" asked Anu cutely.
"Yeah! from today, I'm your Vicky and you are my Vetal" said Abhi. Anu smiled.
Mallika had just come upstairs with a glass of milk. She hears Abhi's words. She said, " My dear Vicky and Vetal, if you don't get ready, you will get late. So, go get ready. After coming home, you can enjoy your story time."
"Yes!" Said both of them together. Anu gave Abhi a hi five and Abhi kissed her. They both go and get ready. After breakfast, Abhi leaves for school and Anu and Priya leave for college.
At the college, a lecturer comes to Priya and says," Priya , Dev will have to come to college from this Monday. Else, he will have shortage of attendance. Remind him. " Priya just replied with a yes and they both walk away.
Priya introduces Anu to her friends as her cousin. Anu dosen't say anything about this but feels happy.
In the evening, Anu and Priya go to the canteen, to have some snacks. When Priya asks the book keeper for the total that she has to pay, he replies, " Dev has paid everything yesterday. He also said that you and your cousin will have two samosa and coffee today and he paid that as well. His estimate is never wrong...!" And laughed.
This made Anu think seriously.... 'Who is this Dev? From the time I stepped into the house I'm hearing his name. I haven't seen him at all!! If this continues till tomorrow, I'm sure I'll go mad...'
After going home after a tiring day, Priya goes for relaxing shower. Anu, who wanted to ask Priya about Dev, dosen't get an opportunity. She then opens her social media page, 'NAINA, THE WRITING BUTTERFLY ' and writes in there....
'Anything I see takes me to you.... Every word I hear, attracts me towards you....
My eyes long to see you...
My heart skips a beat on hearing your name...

By then, Priya comes out after a relaxing shower. Anu goes in to freshen up. Just then, Anu's phone starts ringing with continous notification sounds. Priya gets confused.
Before Priya was able to ask her something, Anu said, "Leave it Priya... I will check that later."
