Before discussing about chanakya arthashastra, I will define about chanakya

CHANAKYA:

Chanakya lived in India nearly 2400 years ago. He was known by 3 names-Vishnugupta, Kautilya, Chanakya. His fathers name was Chanak-a great teacher of rajneeti or political science. They lived in patliputra, the modern days patna in bihar, patliputra is the capital of magadh, ruled by dhananand-he is totally corrupted king who made the people unhappy and arrogant too. Chanak was advicer of dhananand. Dhananand killed Chanak. At that time, Chanakya was a kid, so he had no idea about his father. Chanakya left patliputra and went to takshashila where he managed to complete the education. Later he came to patliputra and he defeated dhanananda. Chanakya was advicer of chandragupta maurya(new king). Chanakya defeated alexander who is trying to conquer the world.

CHANAKYA ARTHASHASTRA:

Arthashastra has divided into 50 books, 150 chapters, 180 sections called adhikarans and adhyan(sanskrit).
Chanakya first book-Vinyadhikarikam(training a king or leader)
There are 4 stages(ashramas)to plan your life
-Brahmacharya ashram(student age)
-Grahasthya ashram(Household life)
-Vanaprasth ashram(Retired life)
-Sanyasa ashram(final stage of life)
