The Spirit Of Love
The Greenville Paranormal Society had been to some interesting locations. From the Waverly Hills Sanitarium in Kentucky, to the Whaley House in San Diego, they has explored some of the most haunted places in the country. They had gained a reputation for results at every location they visited, so it was no surprise when the mayor of Greenville came to them with a request to check out a possible paranormal event in their public library.

The group had been founded by two brothers. Timothy and John London were always on the path that had led them to the paranormal. Their parents passed away when they were both very young. Luckily, their grandmother, Lois, had taken over raising the pair. Tim, age 7,and John, age 6, had taken to their change in life with remarkable little stress. The child psychologist had told Lois that it was due to the fact that they were both in denial. The boys claimed that their parents still looked after them.

Lois had accepted this analysis for the first 6 months but the boys weren't acting as if they were in denial. They never waivered in their belief that their parents were still there.

One day, John tripped and had a nasty spill that resulted in him hitting his head on a rock. There was so much blood that Lois was sure he would bleed out. She managed to get the young man into her old green Plymouth and started to the hospital. Tim looked at her and said something that she'd never forget..

"Mom says don't worry Granny. She says that one time she fell off of her bicycle and broke her arm and you helped ensure that she was all healed up. She also says that she always wished that her cast had been purple instead of pink."

Lois stopped. Her heart skipped a few beats like a young girl jumping rope.

"How do you know about that? You're mom must've told you that before she passed. That was almost 30 years ago!"

Tim smiled, "Mom says you always blamed yourself for the incident but it was never your fault."

At this point she shushed him and continued to the hospital. There was no clear way to describe the way this moment affected her.

John healed to normal over the next 8 weeks. During this time, Lois had asked even more questions of Tim. He seemed to know everything that his mother had. Lois had not only grown to believe the boys, but she supported their study of the events that surrounded them. She'd also introduced them to books on the paranormal. The boys began reading all about the studies surrounding ghosts and spirits.

Lois had managed to stay with the boys until both had reached adulthood. As she reached her final moments, she told Tim not to be too offended if she didn't hang around after her passing. She explained that the boys were both strong enough to make it and that she was ready to rest. She did wink and tell him that she might be willing to check in every now and again if such things were permitted.

So the boys threw themselves in their studies and  both became respected in the scientific community. They now had a team of other scientists that worked with them. Lana was one of the leading experts in electromagnetic theory. She analyzed the fields for anomalies during possible paranormal events. Her sister, Sarah, was their dynamic meteorologist, though she seemed more interested in finding ways to show up Lana. She would look for temperature changes and study the environment to rule out any natural occuring phenomenon. Travis and Ashley were in charge of all of the filming and technical equipment. They also happened to be the only ones who were an exclusive item.

The team had gathered at their HQ to meet with the mayor. There had been a lot of reports of of strange shadows and floating objects in the library. This wasn't anything new. The boys had heard about the possibilty of the library being a hot spot years prior, but they had been denied the chance to explore it. The mayor said that the town had come to it's senses but Tim suggested it had more to do with the possible tourist revenue that any kind of find would generate. People came out from under every rock to investigate any place the boys deemed worthy of their time. As they finalized the details, they all made a plan to arrive around five that afternoon to set everything up.

By nightfall, the team was ready. Travis and Ashley were set up in their mobile investigation unit. It was more like a converted delivery van but they liked naming things. Sarah and Lana were tending the weather equipment with John. Sarah was upset because she wanted to be with Tim on the lead for this one. They all had jobs to do.

Tim began his preliminary walkthrough of the building. He preferred to do it alone to avoid distractions. There were indeed spirits in the building. He noticed a few signs as he checked each section. There was a girl at a table who apparently passed on while studying. It seems she'd never be ready for her final. There was a young man at the front counter that appeared to be ringing a bell to return a book he'd borrowed. He radioed John, "I've walked the main floor and this place is ripe with spirits but I"m going to check the back meeting room. Can you send Lana in with the EMF reader. I feel like there will be major activity in this area."

"Will do. Be careful. This place is...powerful."

John knew he didn't have to warn Tim, but it helped to just say it out loud sometimes.

"Tim needs you Lana. Take the EMF and head to the back meeting room."

"Roger that", and with that Lana headed in.

Sarah grimaced,"I wish I could go in there for once."

John chuckled, "When you get control of your emotions, I'm sure he wouldn't say a word. The thing is, emotions are easily manipulated by some spirits. If you go into a hot spot all in your feelings, you could be hurt or possibly possessed. You're a sweet girl and I know Tim would never forgive himself if you were hurt."

Sarah blushed a little but didn't say a thing. They started monitoring the situation as they watched Lana walk inside.

Tim wandered into the back meeting room. It was sound proofed and separate for study groups that would need to discuss their work and could do so without disturbing everyone else.  It actually had not been part of the original design. The library hadn't owned the property next to it. That was donated about 15 years after it's original opening date. There was a large window looking out into a field. The view was pretty amazing at sunset. That,s not what held his gaze. There was a different kind of spirit standing at the window. She just looked out into the darkness as if a statue. Tim approached this one slowly. His intuition was telling him that she was stronger tan the others.

"Hello there", he began his strange communication ritual, "Whom do I have the pleasure of addressing?"

"I'm not sure to whom you are addressing that question, mortal, but I have not the patience to communicate with you this night,"

"I am merely an investigator. I'd like to open a dialogue if at all possible."

She glanced toward him, "Against my wishes? You lot get more entitled by the generation. I have mentioned that I have no desire to speak. If you continue your inquiries I imagine that you will not enjoy the results of your curiosity."

"I'm just trying to help", he continued, unabashed. "There's no need for hostility."

At that the door slammed shut. The spirit started floating towards him.

"No need for hostility?? There was plenty of need for that when my husband ended my life. Can you imagine watching the man that choked the life out of you shedding tears at your funeral? I'm sure this is a foreign event, mortal, but I have no tolerance for the living. Or men."

She picked Tim up off the ground and sent him flying through the air. He bounced off the wall with a thump and hit the floor. He tried to stand but the spirit sent him flying yet again. This time he lay still.

   "Finally. Some peace and quiet."

Just then a pounding started at the door.

"Tim. Are you ok? Let me in! The EMF is off the scale. Please, let me know you are alright!"

The spirit released the door and Lana came stumbling in. She couldn't see spirits as Tim could. All she knew was that he was on the ground.

   "Oh my god, Tim!!"

She knelt beside him. She was in a panic trying to radio for help.

"So, this girl is all torn up over this man. I'll show her what men are really like."

At that she entered Tim's body and his arms came to life. The closed on Lana's neck. She didn't even have time to be surprised. The spirit was hoping to see that familiar fear in Lana's eyes. Instead she recoiled as she witnessed acceptance. She heard the girl's thoughts. "If my life is all I have to give to save Tim, it will be worth it.

Tim's grip loosened and his arms were limp once more. The spirit had no idea what was going on. She left Tim and entered Lana. Why was this girl so willing to die for this boy? She felt it. The girl loved him. She had it hidden so deeply that no one could even see it. Tim started to stir and sat up. He saw Lana on the ground and ran to her.

   "This is all my fault."

He started to weep. Lana heard this and her emotions started to swell. The spirit was now trapped inside the girl. Their emotions swirling into a mass of chaos.

   "Tim....I thought...I'd lost...you.."

"I'm not going anywhere as long as you're ok."

Lana sat up too quickly and Tim caught her as gravity denied her balance.

"Tim. I can't lose you. Not to this business. YOu mean the world to me."

IT's hard to say who had been more surprised by this admission. Tim looked stunned. Lana just seemed to realize what she had admitted. The spirit was completely lost. So she decided to help Lana. Tim's lips were so soft and warm. Their mouths came together and everything just stood still. Tim pulled away. He looked Lana in the eyes. Their lips came together once again in a release of passion. The spirit became lost in the euphoria. Tim's lips moved to Lana's neck. He felt possessed himself. He pulled his shirt over his head and resumed kissing. Lana ran her hands across his chest. He reached back and unsnapped her bra. As she struggled to remove her own shirt, Tim's lips began to pay soft attention to each breast. Her shirt became stuck as she enjoyed each time his tongue ran across her. Seeing her struggle his kissed down her stomach and loosened her belt. He barely undid the button as he pulled her pants off. She lay wrapped up in the shirt not even trying to escape it. She was holding her breath. He knew what she wanted. He pulled her panties to the side and gave a preemptive taste. Lana's entire body shuddered.

Now he began tasting her in a pattern. As she bagan to pulse towards a release, he inserted a finger to measure how close she was. HE felt her throbbing closer and closer until her back stiffened and she moaned through gritted teeth. She began begging him to stop. She was very sensitive now. She pulled him close and kissed him again, tasting the success of his performance on his lips. She reached down and undid his pants, using her feet to push them down. As he escaped the confines of his jeans it was more then obvious that he was just as excited. She released saliva into her cupped hand and rubbed it on Tim. He was more than ready when she pulled him in closer with her legs. AS he found his way inside her, Both Lana and the spirit gasped. S?he was still very sensitive from his obvious oral talent and it continued to feel more and more pleasurable with each thrust. The spirit decided that she wanted to feel her favorite position so she had Lana roll over and get on all fours. NO one had any issue with that. Their physical crescendo kept building and building until both of them throbbed uncontrollably. Tim moaned aloud as Lana's face went hot with passion. He stayed inside her for at ;east a minute. Each aftershock sending a wave of pleasure through both their bodies. They laid down beside each other and started to survey what had just occured.

The spirit slipped out of Lana's body. "I'm sorry young man",she looked at Tim, "I was so bitter about my own lack of a passionate end that it never occurred to me that you could be different. The feelings you just made this girl feel, were something that I won't ever be able to forget."

"Well, I never suspected that this would be the best way to communicate with a spirit but you have certainly opened my eyes."

They stay on the ground for another 15 minutes before they got themselves together and the spirit released the doors. As they limped outside, the entire Sheriff's Department seemed to be waiting on them.

"Please see to Tim. He's been hurt!", Lana made sure he was the first one looked at. Sarah ran up to her sis, relieved that she seemed alright.

"I was worried to death about you, Lana. There were some crazy readings coming from that room. Are you ok?" Lana looked at Tim and smiled. "I'll be fine. I can't wait to compare your readings to everything that just occurred. IT should prove....informative."

Sarah looked confused and Lana walked on. The spirit entered Lana one more time.

"I'm sorry for the pain young lady. You taught me quite a lot today."

"It's ok", Lana directed to the spirit,"I think we both learned from this." Lana smiled and walked towards the ambulance.
