About You
Last night I asked God about you. What will you look like? Do you have a dazzling smile or a sparkling eyes? What are your hobbies and interests? Do you like to play basketball or video games? Do you enjoy the beach while staring at the sunset? Are you fond of artworks and books? Do you also love music as much as I do? I always wanted to know everything about you.
Everyday I asked Him when will I set my eyes on you. I wonder if you think of me the way I do. Do I ever cross your mind? Do you have an idea that someone like me exist? Are you willing to wait for me as well? I often daydream about you. Sadness strikes by the thought of you. And though my heart longs to be with you I know I can’t, I have to wait a little longer.
Maybe we haven’t met but I’m sure we are looking at the same sky; breathing the same air; walking in the same planet. Maybe you’re one of the passengers in the bus. Maybe our eyes met at some point but I never knew it was you.
In the midst of all my question and hesitation, I never lose my faith that one day our paths will crossed. Despite of the waiting game He will faithfully answer my prayers. I never know how you look like, where you come from and what will it be. Maybe sooner, later or in another lifetime. Nobody knows when but one thing is certain, you will arrive at the time God has planned.
I know I’ve been through hurtful and failed relationships. I have unbearable flaws that may test your patience. I'm independent and has a strong personality that may intimidate you. But believe me I’m also weak and need someone to help me out. I know we are both a work in progress. We may not have commonalities but if it's His will, He will make us work. He will help us to compliment each other despite of our differences.
I will keep on waiting even people told me to settle. Even if they think waiting is useless and old fashioned. Even when the world believes that you and I are impossible. I will wait for you because you are worth it. While I’m waiting, I will dedicate my time in improving myself; to work on my weaknesses and deal with them in a positive way. I will continue serving Him, dig deeper and cling to His words so I won’t easily get tempted. And I hope you also do the same. So when we finally meet we are already transformed and matured individuals.
When that day comes I won’t regret but instead appreciate the season of waiting. I will value and love you wholeheartedly. I’m ready to accept and embrace you without conditions. I will have the courage to tear down my walls and break the guards of my heart. I wouldn’t be afraid of falling in love again. On that day we will both praise Him because He finally answered the deepest desires of our hearts, — and that is you and I.
