The Politics In Politics
I for one have never been a fan of politics because, in my opinion, politics in this part of the world is the dishonorable gathering of men with no understanding of the word integrity and nobody is going to blame me for thinking like that considering the state of things in our nation now.
I think politics is the only game in the world that has no rules and any game without rules is very filthy, it can make you sell your conscience and dignity as a human being. You hear them saying in politics there is no permanent friends or enemies, but only permanent interest, my belly turns with disgust and irritation when I hear that, I try as much as I can to stay away from politics but with the way things are going, I just needed to speak out, I have never voted in my life because I know the results will be tampered with, so why should I stress myself in the sun when I know my vote won't count?
But it is about time things changed and when I say change, I mean a positive change, not the kind of change they promised us and now put us in chains. We the youths are tired of these people playing on our intelligence and our future repeatedly, we are going to march and speak with one voice this time and our language will be one because what we all want is the same, like; good roads, good health structures, good economy free from unchecked corruption, basic amenities, quality life and a conducive environment safe for our family and a promising future for our children, is that too much to ask?
We are going to stand and speak in one voice, the politicians won't see us coming this time, we are going to take them unaware, we are tired, they say if you can't take the heat, stay out of the kitchen, if they can't give us what we want, we are going to kick them to the curb this time because it is long overdue. We are no longer the dumb and lazy youths they labeled us to be, their repeated abuse of power has given us power and made us strong and we are going to stand in solidarity to do this for our future, our children, and our nation, we have served our fatherland, now it is time for our fatherland to serve us too.
