Social isolation had forced an eerie silence upon them. While fear haunted their existence, one question was at the forefront.
When was this going to end?
Dr. Fredrick Holmes sat at his desk in Geneva looking over the updated Pandemic Rapid Containment guidelines that would ultimately change the world along with any future it had left. The Dr had not seen his family for almost a year. They were locked inside an International Secret Health Facility that had been built specifically for the protection of each of the Global leaders immediate family members. The facility was equipped with a staff of doctors and scientists along with an entire staff for every essential need and enough supplies that would last up to five years or longer. The building was secured with no access from outside its perimeters. The air was filtered by special machines that purified it and each person there under went extensive testing to ensure they were not carriers or had the first strain of the virus. They were able to interact with each other with no masks or protective gear.
Dr. Holmes along with six other national leaders had already implemened strict Global Pandemic Policies that should have controlled and stopped the virus from spreading so rapidly. What had started as a corona virus quickly manifested into the most deadliest pandemic in history. The virus manifested in other strains that became incurable. The collapsed economy of each Nation resulted in governments losing control over their citizens. This is what prompted the need for Global Authority. The death rates kept increasing and the economical crisis had crippled all countries. The health care systems went bankrupt despite federal funding. The lack of medications and ventilators also escalated the death toll. The Doctors and nurses and all of the Health care staff would work days with no sleep or breaks. They were not allowed to leave their facility after being exposed to the virus.
The Global Authority took control over all areas of reform and regulations. The world's most notable elites were chosen based on their intelligence, character and proven success. Their main objective was to stop the chaos, contain the virus, create a vaccine, provide immediate funding and supplies to treat the sick, and provide food for all of mankind with no exceptions. Rules and laws were enforced without any voting based on the lack of governments providing fair treatment on all levels.
