The choice
Hey little girl with a pretty face, keep your head up life's not to waste. Time is precious but it goes by fast, so be wise and enjoy it... make it last. So little girl you don't take any advice, your grown... your stubborn so you do what you like. You go against your inside voice, you do things your way and make the choice. You stop listening to what your parents say, and you begin to stay out all night and all day. You think your ready so you take a hot of your first marijuana cigarette. Your moral judgement disappears and you become the worst of your fears. Life gets harder... everything starts to change, simple tasks get hard and your old friends seem strange. Your grades slip... your in a hole, a walking zombie without a soul. After a while weeds not the same, so you look for something stronger to fry your brain. Alcohol, cocaine, LSD, and hash, your addiction gets expensive so look for cash. Up at a party trying to be cute as can be, flirting with a guy you didn't know had HIV. He has money so he buys you a drink, slips in a hidden ingredient that makes you not think. He picks you up and lays you on the couch, your oblivious to the world... your straight passed out. Then this monster does unwanted act, that will change your world for a fact. Not only has he given you a disease but has also impregnated you with his seed. Months later your all alone, laying down in a broken home. Your last thoughts are heavy weighing on your head, knowing in a few hours you'll be dead. As you start to feel the poison rushing through your veins, you strive to say a prayer to God through all of your pain. You grab your belly and pray for two, not only yourself but the baby that's inside of you. Through all the sin that's in your skin, you pray for the Lord to see you from within. Your vision dims... you've lost your sight, you breathe one more breath before giving up the fight. Praying that one day someone will say to a girl with a pretty face, that they don't want to end up like her... a waste.
