I took a last glance at the mirror. I look great. It's fun to dress up once in a while, I thought. The black glittery night dress shows off my bare shoulders. And simple and natural makeup is just enough to enhance my beauty. I don't exaggerate but it really does.

I stepped out of the room and walked up to the elevator. When I arrived at the ballroom, many of the guests had arrived. I put on my earpieces and start to wander around observing the venue. But someone caught my attention. I immediately check the event pamphlet again. I am shocked. How can I overlook this one? I can't run right now. This event is my priority. And I never acted out before. It will hurt my professionalism.

The best I can do is keep avoiding him. My fate finally turns its back on me. I ran away from him for almost six years, I can't let it go down the drain either. I hope he didn't recognize me, I look different from the last time he saw me. But somehow, we locked eyes. He looked shocked. Luckily, I managed to get away from the crowds. I am panicked and decided to step out but he was quick to pulled my arms and make me stay beside him without anyone noticing. It is the first time ever after six years.
