NERVOUS
It was about time to go on stage. Me to myself,
" Stop being awkward, stop being nervous. "
While saying these lines to the person inside me, someone suddenly stirred me to inform that it's my turn. It was college farewell ceremony. After my graduation and acquiring gold medal, I was instructed to give speech to my juniors for inspiration purpose. Which I eventually forgot and gave a speech, I mean whatever came in to my mind I spit it out.
"Hi,Everyone."
It was quit embarrassing saying 'hi' before my memorial speech. But students and teachers took it as an informal way to interact with moonthem. Which was quit likable and suitable for a student occupying a title of gold medalist. Nevertheless ,I started my speech and the initial sentence which came out of my mouth was,
"I am being nervous right now, aren't I? See even my hand are shaking. " by hovering my hand in the air.
I mean everyone and even bold minded man and women are nervous at any political, social gathering and seminars, whenever they are told to orate.
I continued my speech,
"Yes, I am nervous. Well to be honest I am not. Something inside me is being so wiggly. My voice is perfect, my tone is smooth. But still I am feeling tingled, and thrilled by the fact of being on stage. After all , you all are staring me with your eyes wide open. This is the natural reaction of the action you all are creating right now.
"Its ok, to be nervous. "
As you all are familiar with the phrase,'Every action have a reaction'. However I will do my best to stay strong and try my best to express my experience of education and deliver my message. "
I delievered my speech to the juniors and eventually was about to get off the stage, when my teacher called me to congratulate me for receiving a gold medal along with my sister and friends. She was so proud of us. Off course, why won't she. After all she was like ladder of success to us. She not only encouraged us but also she gave her best to bring out our full potential. No one can take her place.
I got off the stage and unknowingly hugged her, totally forgetting the fact that she was our teacher. Tear rolled down of my cheeks. I saw glittery eyes with a bit of moist. Yes she was her. Our teacher became emotional.
Later a familiar voice struck my ear lobe. As soon as I turned my face toward the voice, my already wet eyes with tears suddenly turned in to a fountain. As this time I saw my whole world and who brought me in to this world. My mother and father. They were shining like never before. Their eyes corner were bent like a upside down crescent moon. I can never forget that smile. They were invited as distinguished guests. I waited so long for this day to come. And eventually it arrived. We attended the ceremony and went back home, with new ambition in our mind regarding jobs.
