The Last Word
Karen came home to find her brother wasn't home yet. Ofcourse she thought you can never find him when you need him.
She sat her things down on the table and thenade her way to the couch where she just sat. It had been a long day at work and all she wanted to do was just sit here.
She lived with her brother who most of the time was a great guy. Unless he was on that stuff.
She didn't really blame him he had become hooked on it when he was just a kid. He grew up with really bad influences.
But sharing a place with him wasn't easy she needed help with the bills which he wasn't consistent about and help with their elderly mother.
She called her Mom hey Mom? how was your day?
It was fine she said. Hey Karen asked has Charles been by to help you with the lawn and stuff today?
No huh uh I haven't seen him.
Right then and there Karen lost it. Il call you right back Mom going to give him a piece of my mind.
She hung up without even saying bye. She knew what he was doing so she wouldn't even bother trying to call. So instead she bagan texting him exactly what she thought of him.
She wrote Charles your a pretty sorry ass brother and I can accept that but what I can't accept is you being a sorry excuse for a son to a Woman that was wonderful to both you and me. When Mom needs you over to get some things done You need to be there. Sober up you pos!!!
She didn't hear the news til later that evening. She was watching channel four and apparently a man had saved a young fily from a crazed gunman at the mall.
As she watched the news his name was revealed it was Charles Stewart it was her brother.
