Jenny sat down her boxes with careful ease, watching the new curtains blow in the breeze. She liked the new house her parents found and for once in her life it was on the right side of town. She straightened out her entire room, excited because high school was starting soon. On her first day everything went great, she even got asked out on a date. She wanted to be popular and she said, "I'm going to be", because I just got a date with the star of the football team. She asked her parents and they said, "No, that they thought Jenny was too young to go". So Jenny acted like it didn't bother her and she said that she was going to another friend's house instead. At first her parents were at unease, but then they reluctantly agreed. She accepted Jeff's offer for a date that night; a pizza, a movie, then a ride in the moonlight. The pizza was good but it was getting late, Jeff had taken her to a party and the movie would have to wait. Jenny found Jeff among his friends smoking something that was lit on the end. It took a while to realize but well enough Jenny couldn't believe he was actually smoking that stuff. She told Jeff that she was ready and noticed that when he got up he wasn't too steady. She didn't stop to think that maybe he had too much to drink. The two teenagers climbed in the car, drove down a few miles but didn't make it far when Jeff finally made a pass. A pass wasn't what Jenny wanted at all and when I say a pass I don't mean in football. Jeff was mad and sped away in anger, faster and faster. Jenny then knew her life was in danger. All of a sudden there was a big flash. Jenny closed her eyes and felt the crash. Out of the twisted rumble she heard someone say call the ambulance these kids are in trouble. Jenny opened her eyes hours later in a hospital bed with iv's hooked to her arms and bandages around her head. She cried out to a nurse standing by and when she saw Jenny she started to cry. The nurse told her that the other people didn't survive and she was the only one still alive. She said, "Jenny, I've got some bad news, but it looks as if we'll lose you too". Jenny said, "Nurse, please tell my parents I'm sorry I lied and it's my fault that so many people have died". I just wanted to have some fun, I never meant to hurt anyone. Jenny said," Nurse, will you please tell them for me?" The nurse just stayed there and she never agreed. When Jenny was dead a man that was nearby spoke up and said, "Nurse, why didn't you do your best and bid that girl her one last request?" The nurse looked at the guy with eyes oh so sad and said, "because the other people in the car were her Mom and Dad".
