white as snow-6
Trisha was taken aback. So much to digest and so much going on in her mind. But things started making sense. as well. I am Ketaki...?? Who is Trisha then... how come I know myself as Trisha... ?? If Pyari is my mother here, who were they in Delhi... her head started to ache and she felt a fog all around her... the New man, Atharva, held her " Ketu.. Trisha.. stay with me na... "

She opened her eyes.. the light outside had faded. Trisha looked around, " Atharva..." she called out. He was sleeping on the sofa. He looked so calm, assured in an inner confidence, the calmness had taken years off his face. She felt her heart reach out to him. She was sure he was her heart and soul, how she couldn't remember, but she just knew. She got up, went close to him and touched his forehead, he suddenly opened his eyes and was releaved, " You do remember me darling. Let me help you remember yourself. Come sit here on the sofa and I will tell you about my Ketaki."

She sat down on the sofa, put her head on his lap and he started massaging through her head. " My Ketu- you- were sprawled flat on the snow in the garden, when I first saw you. You had somehow skidded over the snow. I went forward to help you but you didn't accept my help. Even then you were a young and independent girl. You had passed your school exams with a state level position and were here to announce the news to your father. He also came out and apologised for the rude behaviour of yours. He scolded you and sent you back home. And I was blamed for your fall instead of the snow. You got admission in Chandigarh in a prestigious college, studied and started your job. Once you fell very ill, I was in Chandigarh for some work, so I offered to check on you. I fell head over heals the moment I saw you. But I got to know a very serious condition you had developed that even your father didn't know about. You had been cheated by a guy and the episode had triggered a defensive mental response in you. You had developed an alternate personality, Trisha." Now Trisha turned around and looked at him with hazy mind and suddenly she had a severe pang of headache and she remembered it all...

The death of her mom, devastated father, unloving step - mom and the final straw was the shattering of her heart at the hands of an evil opportunist. Trisha was the stronger Ketaki... no one knew about her, except Atharva. Somehow when she met him in Chandigarh, she felt he was approachable- no actually he was accepting welcoming to her. She could be Ketaki, the girl who loved him and whom he adored. She could be her real self, Ketaki with him. Trisha could take a back seat. Even so much as she decided Trisha could rest forever now that she had founded her anchor... but life always has a plan and always plays with your plans... if only life could be white as snow, but it had its blacks, Greys and all shades in between...

to be continued....
