Escaping Twin Flames
Escaping Twin flames

So recently, I watched this documentary on Netflix called Escaping Twin Flames. It was about an online program that helped people identify and find their twin flames.
If you don't know what a twin flame is, Wikipedia's definition is: A soulmate is a person with whom one has a feeling of deep or natural affinity. This may involve similarity, love, romance, platonic relationships, comfort, intimacy, sexuality, sexual activity, spirituality, compatibility, and trust.

Well, we all are looking for this soulmate, and this is how this couple, Jeff and Shaleia Ayan, got so many people to sign up for their products and programs. Making them multimillionaires and breaking so many hearts along the way.

Sometimes, many of us are at a low point in life, and we are searching for something, anything to give meaning to our lives. This is how these groups or cults suck people in. They act like they care, that they are there for you. They understand what no one else does about how you are feeling. They tell you things you long to hear, and they make you feel understood, even loved. And the more they do this, the deeper you crave this feeling. You will do anything, pay whatever amount to keep this feeling. They know this just as a con man knows he's got you on the hook and it's game on from there.

They pull you away from family and friends because they don't want them to put anything in your ear about them. They make you feel like they are all you need. They are your family now. You no longer need anyone else who doesn't believe what they do.

This is perfect and total manipulation. This happens when they see you are vulnerable when you are hurt and lost. This happens in cults and in relationships, and even in friendships. It's all about control and total control until you can't think for yourself anymore.
I know I've been there in my abusive marriage, and many people have also got caught up in this. Even some churches do this as one of my friends was caught up in their manipulations until one day they told her she would have to cut off all of her friends and family that didn't belong to that church. Thank God that was her wake-up call to walk away.

So, my friends, remember we are all vulnerable when we are hurting. But we must be on the lookout for the signs, for that intuition that is telling us something is not right. And trust and believe it will be telling you, but you just have to listen. Know your worth and know that when someone is telling you what to think, this is manipulation, and you must run to save your soul.
