chapter four.

Diego.

I watched as an unconscious Angelica was examined by the doctor.

"How is she?"I asked in my usual cold tone.

"she has one deep wound close to her rib cage but luckily whatever it was that hurt her didn't damage any vital organs. She has a few scratches that don't pose any danger to her."

"when will she able to wake up?"

"in a few days don."

"I want her in my house."I told him.

"she...sh...she can't leave the hospital Don."

"what did you say doctor?"I asked him raising my eyebrow daring him to disobey me.

"wh..wh...what am trying to say is that I have to run tests on her and I don't think I'll be able to do that at your house sir." He timidly responded.

i took slow but deadly steps towards him until I was towering over him.
listen to me Dr Parker cause am only going to say this once.

"you either find a way to take care of her at my house or I end your career you decide." and I must say doc am in such a good mood am actually giving you a choice but if you don't pick the option I want you to I'll have no other choice but to end you.

he looked at in me disbelief before lowering his gaze and speaking,"I'll find a way to monitor her from your home don."

Good choice doctor and I must say you are a very smart man now go get the discharge papers this atmosphere is very unpleasant to be in.

"yes don."he responded before quickly rushing out of the room.
Normally most people wouldn't have lasted as long as the doctor did in my presence and I don't mind it at all. I love being by myself most humans are not worth my time.
I called one of my men to make sure the maids prepared the guest room in a way that it fit a queen.i want only the best for this golden beauty in front of me right now.

At six Am Angelica was lying safely in one of the best guest room my mansion had to offer, personally I would have preferred it if she was in my room but I wouldn't want to scare the girl off. I left the room so the doctor could remain and check her vitals.

immediately after that I took a shower and wore my personally tailored suit and black shoes and left for Santiago Enterprise.

The day dragged on as it usually did.i had my meetings with some clients who were hoping to partner up with my company. What I hate the most is that when my company was drowning in debt none of these companies were here to help and now that we have the best financial reports they want any part of partnership with my company . cowards!.

My office phone rang beside me and I picked it up.

"yes"I said to my new P.A Steve,and what I like about him was that he was a male. I was getting tired of having to fire those slutty females I hope this one doesn't mess it up.

"sir a Mr James Stone is here to see you."

"send him in."

I heard the door open and close and didn't bother to look up knowing fully well it was James.

"what brings you to my office?"

"I brought you the files of the new girls we have added to the hotel to please the clients."

"and?"

"ah..ah"he continuously stuttered.

"if you came all the way here to stutter and waste James my time you can leave before I actually make you pay for letting one of the girls escape."

"you're not making me pay?"he asked with so much disbelief.

"This time no,but I would be very careful if I were you James I won't be so lienent with you next time."I told him with so much assurence.

he wispered something I couldn't hear.

"if you have something to say say it out loud James ,I've never known you to be someone easily intimidated by my presence."

"why?"

"why what?"I retorted.

"why are you easily letting this go?"he asked again with so much disbelief"what my men and I did could have cost the empire a lot so why are you easily forgiving me?"


The only reason am letting him go is because according to my men,James took care of Angelica and made sure she was well fed, clothed and she had the best education. He also made sure that no other man touched her but am not going to tell him that.

"since when do I explain myself to you?" i asked with so much venom in my voice.


"I.. didn't mean it like that don,sorry I asked."

"is there anything else?"

Even without looking at him I could sence his hasitation and that got me curious. Amongst all my men James was a free spoken guy so I wonder what has him walking on glass today.

"speak."I boomed at him "or leave."

"how's Angelica?"

His question had me bolting my head and looking at him at a speed I never knew was possible. Why was he asking about her?I could feel my anger rising.

"Recovering."I responded calmly looking directly at his face.I can see the wheels in his head turning and I had a feeling his next question was going to anger me.

"when will she be back?"

"Back where?and to do what?"I asked as calmly as I could.

"To the hotel ,she's tewnty now and can join the other girls."

"she's not coming back."I said to him in a deadly tone.

Anger flashed in his eyes before he quickly hid it.
why was he so angry that she isn't coming back?

"why's that so? isn't she part of the girls?"

"Not anymore and you will not ask me anything else about her have I made myself clear?"


"yes boss" he said through gritted teeth ,I could tell he was angry and I didn't want to know why bacause I had a strong feeling his reason was going to anger me to the last degree.

That's all for today James if there is anything you can call my cell.

oh and James "make sure your men are dealt with accordingly."

His smile turned sinister before he nodded and left my office.


I couldn't concentrate on my work for the rest of the day bacause my brain kept wondering to the silver eyes I so badly wanted to see again. I got my work all packed up and swore to do it at the mansion ,I knew I wasn't going to sleep anyway so why not do it at home.
I made sure to tell Steve to to cancel all my meetings for today before I went to my private elevator and left for my mansion.
