The Silent Whisper -5
Yes. You. You are nothing but a bully. You hurt everyone. And now because of you teachers are blaming us for mistreating Aaniha.
But teachers are not all wrong. You all did badmouthed her and teased her.
Suddenly Mrs. Dabodia entered into the classroom. Like a gush of wind, banging the door open. And then shrieking my name.
Ayush. Come out you idiot. I will teach you how to bully properly. Come out at this instant.
I stood there. With spring rolls in my hand. Trying to understand what is happening all of a sudden. I put my spring rolls, which were still wrapped in the foil, piping hot, on my desk, near my bag and started leaving the class with mam. When I reached on the classroom’s door I gave a final look to everyone. And clearly saw the sly grin on everyone’s face.
I walked, rapidly, trying to keep with mam’s pace, and reached again at the reception. Where my father, mother, Aaniha, her parent I guess, Rishika mam, principal, they all were already standing there. Waiting for me I guess.
As soon as I reached towards them, I received a fatal slap from my right, on my right cheek. I fell on the floor. I looked back up with tears in my eyes, but trying to hold them back, it was my father who slapped me this hard. And that too in front of everyone. But why?
Not even a single person came forward to help me to get back on my foot, not even my mother. When I tried to get back on my feet again, my father while holding my nape shook me very harshly. But I still wanted to know that why they are treating me like this?
The principal stepped in between. And asked politely from my father to not to create any such scene in school premises. My father, still red, jerked me off and stood there, at an angle, from where he can easily slap me again, if needed.
Then principal sir said-
Mr. Fulara- Ayush did you really bullied Aaniha?
No sir. I didn’t do it. I wanted to say these words. But these words were not coming out of my mouth. I was still in dilemma from my father’s slap.
Sir asked again.
Mr. Fulara- Ayush I am asking you again. Did you bullied Aaniha?
N….. No s..s..sir…
Mr. Fulara- But your classmates told us just the opposite. They said that you were the one who snatched her ear machines and even threw them out just because of fun.
Father- You stupid. Do you even know how expensive those machines were? From where do you think we are going to repay such large amount of money?
From my father’s red face and angry stare I knew that this is my last day on the earth.
But sir, I was given dare.
Father- Dare? What dare?
Papa, we were playing a game of truth and dare and it was my turn to do a dare. I swear I didn’t even wanted to play.
Father- good. Very good. So if your friends will give you a dare to go and jump from the window, you will happily do so. Right? Just because your friends gave you this dare. You stupid pig. Where was your brain? Where did you emptied it out?
Mr. Fulara- sir please calm down. Nothing will be sorted if you will act in such way.
Father- Why should I calm down? My son has done a great deed.  He deserve some rewards for completing his dare.
Mr. Fulara- Ayush, I heard you also wrote something bad about Aaniha on the board and then even bullied Hinaa by dusting the powder on her face.
Sir I do dusted the powder on Hinaa’s face but it was Hinaa only who wrote that phrase on the board. I came back to pick my bottle up, which I had forgotten in the classroom.
Mr. Fulara- see Ayush. We all know that you are the most mischievous boy in your classroom and to be quoted precisely, in the whole school. We all have seen you fighting with everyone.
Mrs. Dabodia- Yes sir. Even today, he bumped into this poor beautiful girl, look sir, she even got scratches on her knees and elbows, but what HE did! He just picked up his umbrella and laughed and ran back into the classroom.
Then I realized that yes, I haven’t seen Aaniha throughout the day.
But mam, I was getting late for the class. And I swear I didn’t laughed.
Mrs. Dabodia- So you are implying that I am stating lie. Just look at this boy. Sir, I am telling you he deserves a good punishment.
But mam, I seriously didn’t laughed. You can even ask her. Oye, tell everyone that I didn’t laughed.
Aaniha was just standing there. Sniffing. And crying.
Aaniha’s mother- I should not be saying this, but look how manner less this boy is. Just look at his language.
I turned towards her and stared at her with my angry and tearful eyes. Then again I received a blow from my father’s side. My balance moved, but I did not fall this time.
Mother- why are you just beating our son. He is right. What if he had been late for the class? Then again teacher would have given him punishment.
Then my mother pointed her anger towards Aaniha’s mother- if you are looking for so much mannerism, then you should have kept your child at home or else would have sent her to the school where she actually belonged.
Aaniha’s mother- what do you mean belonged? My child is completely normal but it’s your son who needs to be put in cage. Chain him at home. Such wild rough beast.
My mother slightly raised her voice- whom do you called beast huh?
Mr. Fulara- just keep quiet. I told you all to not to create any scene in school premises.
Principal Sir then turned towards my father- sir at least pay for the one ear- machine. And let’s sort it among us. And Ayush go back to your class.
I looked at my parents and then at Aaniha and her mother and started to walk back, when I heard a voice from my back.
Come back at home and then I will teach you a lesson.
