It’s been raining a lot here lately. September falls within the wet season in the Philippines, and we only have two seasons: dry and rainy.

Unlike the past few months, when water was scarce and we had to travel far just to get drinking water or even some to use in the bathroom, now our yard feels like a lake with all the water. Sometimes it rains for an entire month, as if the sea itself were poured over us, making it hard to do much, especially when we’re stuck at home.
