Into the flames rising out of a setting sun,
I draw in a deep breath before I run not looking back into the forest. The cold breeze, the rustling of the leaves beneath my feet as I ran not having anywhere to go.
After the little incident that happened at home I just couldn't bring myself to face my parents. As the harsh cold wind brushed my skin leaving goosebumps on its way.

I had only one destination in mind.
I wasn't going to spend the cold night in the woods. I searched my backpack, the only thing I could take out of the house at that time and took out my phone turning it on I realized I had missed calls from my mom but I wasn't gonna call back because I planned on going over to my besfriend's house

Sam, I was sure I was going to get questioned about what happened but I just needed a warm place to sleep.

Ever since we were kids, I knew Samson had a crush on me, refusing to accept that tge nature of our relationship was going to change when we got to high school.

I walked alone in the cold and quiet streets of Neska avenue as I drew closer to Sammy's house,I just couldn't imagine the questions I was gonna answer from my best friend.

I stood for over five minutes deliberating on knocking or going back, I decided to knock on the doorsince my only option will be to go home of I couldn't knock.

" who's it?" Sammy's rusty and firm voice answered after my fifth knock. I was sure that I had woken him up from sleep but I had no other option

He was my only hope at this moment.

" its me, Rachel, please open up dude, its cold out here" I replied groggily
I was already tired from the long walk I had and wasn't going to waste time here outside my best friend's house in the cold.

I was welcomed with a shirtless view of Samson's body
" Darm! did he get more manly?"
I couldn't deny that he was definitely a view for sore eyes.

I quickly dropped my gaze when he called my name, I didn't know how long he was calling but a half naked Samson always have that effect.
