My First Dance..!
It seems like it was just yesterday..., I am in the first std, all our neighbors were Christians, one house was our favorite in the neighbourhood, We used to go to their house to play everyday in the evening.
One day in the evening we were playing at his house and the people in the house were talking that there is a New Year program in the church.
Even my uncle used to come and go to this house every day because the son of that house were my brother's friend.
As their conversation begins, They were asking to each other that who has participated and Who will become what in the program..? and who has taken which dance?
A girl from the village always used to participate in this event every year and always won first rank in dance performance. Everyone in the house was cheering for this girl and Suddenly my uncle said to everyone that why not this year let's we do something, let's participate, everyone said oh no no, this is not possible we cannot participate in this programme because this is not for us but this program is for kids and young generation. uncle replied to all that then it is ok.
In a few moments uncle said I dance well, why not let's teach her and give her name in the competition.
Everyone was ready, my daily practice was going on..., the day of the event came, Didi who taught dance said let's do one more last final practice, I said ok Didi.
It was time for the event, we all got ready and reached the Event venue. Didi applied more make-up, a famous girl of the village danced and after her dance my name were announced, I was a bit nervous, just being in first std, It was my first stage performance.
I appeared on stage and I remembered saying of Didi that while performing, just remember practice of dance, That's what I did, I did the full dance remembering the practice of dance and at the end I heard the sound of clapping.
Everyone performed and the Event anchor called the Father of the Church on the stage for vote of thanks and also asked him to declare the results.
Father said Today I am very happy, like today we all gather every year to celebrate this event on New Year's Day and give scope to new artist and encourage them, I am really happy with the way the children performed today, so now I wish everyone a happy new year and declare today's results ok, so... the first winner of today's program is Miss..., and Father took my name, I was so happy Father picked me up in his arms and gave me first prize winning trophy.
I will never forget this day in my life, the village girl who always came first also congratulated me, that's why I want to tell everyone to always motivate the kids, they will definitely do something great and interesting that will make us all proud.
