Be mindful of what you take in from people. A person can give you accounts of things that happen and make themselves more or less important or influential in the story. As long as there's no one else who was present to dispute their testimony Take the bible for instance. The whole book is. focused on Yahweh (God) and yeshua (Jesus ) yet neither has books authored by them. Only the disciples accounts on their position and relationship with them. Has someone ever told you a story and exaggerated the details or their part in the story.
