We need this film. I need this film. A filthy important film!

Pink Flamingos (1972) Directed by John Waters

Plot summary : A bizarre fat woman (Divine) and her misfit family compete with a Baltimore couple (David Lochary, Mink Stole) to be named the filthiest people alive.

One of the most hilarious and disgusting films of all time, it resonates particularly well in today's media landscape where reality television and viral social media trends see people competing for notoriety in much the same way as the film's gloriously filthy protagonists.

R.I.P. Divine! You know I saw on Divine's documentary that he actually did eat that dog shit. Crazy right? No camera tricks..
Bird is the word! Lol

5/5 - Probably the most important exercise on camp and bad taste, Waters “corrupts” us with this burlesque black comedy that succeeds to make everyone uncomfortable and destroys moral values, nothing is sacred and patriarchal morality is demolished.
The importance of this film and Divine as a whole is beyond words and despite the over the top moments this is Water’s Opus Magnum!
