Take me to the holy place,
Where candles flicker,
And tears leave no trace.

I'll bare my soul,
Confess my transgressions,
Unburden my heavy load.

Every sorrow, every grief,
Every secret, every belief,
I'll lay at the feet of my Maker.

For in the pews,
Where penance is due,
There's solace, there's peace,
And grace renewed.
