BEHIND MEDUSA'S EYES BY BHENGU SS

I smile, but it's a mask I wear,
To hide the scars that no one can bear.
For beneath this facade, there lies,
A secret pain, behind Medusa's eyes.

The weight of this curse, too heavy to bear,
For I was a woman, once so fair,
Punished, cursed, for a sin not mine,
Turned into a monster, for all time.

Yet, these scars, they are not just physical,
But emotional, the wounds that won't heal,
A heart so shattered, my soul, so frail.

But I will not surrender,
To the curse, to the pain,
For I am Medusa,
A woman, not just a name.

A strength in my scars,
A power in my pain,
I'll face my demons,
And rise again.
