In contrast: All hope is NEVER lost but if you find yourself so deep in the dark find a drive and strive to be more than a conquerer. "Hope Lost is Hope Not Regained" just means that when you find yourself without hope it is not ok to simply give up. The opposing quote speaks to a negative mindset that hopefully sees how inaccurate the statement can be and perhaps find the good in it :)
