Ever wonder why webs are associated with lies and never with the truth? Today I did. For me, it's a parallel often said understanding this statement: "What a tangled web we weave . . ." You know the rest.
Truth is mostly associated with good things, for instance, freedom and light. Lies don't set you free, truth does. And light . . . well, you know the rest of that too.
Even when it comes to searching for the truth amongst a world of darkness and lies, the search itself is paralleled to uncovering something.
Why is the word "uncovering" associated with that process?
And even if this "uncovering" exists, why is there so much skepticism after that? All I can think of is a jar of pickles that says, "Pickles," and once you open it you say, "That was too easy. It can't be pickles!" Or you stare at the pickle so long you began to wonder, "Is this really a pickle?" 👀
Believing the truth is similar to that scenario with all those doubts and layers we pile on truth.
