A GENTLE DOORWAY BY BHENGU SS

If death were a gentle release,
A soft departure, a moment's peace,
If it didn't ravage those left behind,
Would it be a choice of mine?
Would I choose to slip away,
To escape this fleeting play?
If grief could be set aside,
Would I bid life goodbye?
Perhaps, the answer lies in the life,
In the moments, in the strife.
For death is but a door,
To a life beyond, beyond the shore.
So, if death were a gentle rest,
Would I pass on, with no regrets?
