May the sounds of the crackers help us forget all other sounds and thoughts.... To remember that the battles have to be waged in each of us... between the Rama and the Ravanas in each of us.
May the lights - of the lamps and the bursts of crackers- illuminate our inner selves, to help identify them (Rama and the Ravanas) so that we can improve ourselves.
May the smoke of the crackers be like a fumigation... eliminating the negativity in and around us.
