Be a mirror to everyone, reflect what they do to you. But, if it is your duty to have to do something for them, do it, even if you never get praised or thanked by them, just do it. Never step away from your duties. Moreover, if they hate you or critize you, let them, don't interrupt, ignore them. If you interrupt you just save their time and waste your's.
