Rain pelts

Thunder roars

A cacophony surges

As a stampede

Shakes the grounds



Beaten down

Unsteady & battered

Adorned in scrapes & bruises

Frightened

Muscles quiver

Wobbly on foot



Courageously

One unsteady step forward

Unaware of trembling limbs

Blurred watery lines

Drenched to the core

Slogging on and beyond



The angry gray contours

Are kissed softly by the sun

Blushing

The sky gleams pink

Golden rays tinged rose

Spread over the earth



A brilliant sunrise

Warming my soul

Inspiring vigor

Whispering to my spirit

A gentle breeze brushing

The embers of my heart



Invigorate

Oxygenated

Renewed flame

Blazing bright

Illuminated
