The Fall of Icarus.
Oh my poor Icarus fell in love with the sun.
He spread his waxed wings so wide
into the sky where his love was.

Yet everyone cried,
"Don't fly too close or you'll die!"

But Icarus had turned a blind eye
and kept pursuing his holy light.
So, my naive Icarus flew high and high
until all his being wholly blind.

Little did he know,
he was yet to meet Apollo's bow.
Before Icarus reached the last sky,
his wings began to ignite—so bright.
He thought the gods was on his side.
But then Apollo grinned on his throne
and demand the sun to burn the lad to death.

The sun unwillingly obeyed his master's call
while sympatized Icarus's will
as he touch the strongest thing
he could find from Icarus's frame.
In hope it would give him less damage.

The wide wings on his back.

However, the sun's eyes turned black
as he realized it was just feathers in wax.
He wished to undo his killing heat
but his own power overpowered him.

In a split second,
both of them met eye-to-eye.
The sun's filled with lament.
while Icarus's merely awe.
It was enough, Icarus said,
to witness such greatness
even if it owed my tragic end.

Half of his wings were already gone
so he sent his last remaining love to
the sun and smiled as he fell.
He fell so hard to the blackest sea.
Drowned in his own blind partiality.

note: this poem was inspired by the Greek mythology of Icarus who fly too close to the sun even though he has been told it would be vey dangerous to him, yet he flew anyways.

but there were some details that I added which differs from the actual story. so yeah, hope u enjoy! :)
