The loud noise woke her baby up
She came at once, picked him and cuddled
She sang the lullaby for him,till he fell asleep
Laying him inside his cot, she covered him with a blanket
She turned on the air conditioner, and closed the door of the room as her baby slept comfortably
Sitting with her cup of tea as she looked outside the window
Construction was going on
A baby slept on the cloth hammock in the heat and dust
A noise woke him and he started to cry
Her mother who was working far away, came running to him
She wiped the sweet of her boy with a cloth
She picked and nursed him till he slept
Then putting him back in the cloth bed she went back to work
A glass window was all that separated the lives of these two mothers
