The Fool Who Doesn't Know His Worth
He says kindness makes one look like a fool.
He says he can't help but being kind,
even to the ones who don't deserve it.
That, he feels weak and vulnerable because of it.
But, what he doesn't know is that,
it's his kindness that makes some people's life a little easier to live.
That, his kindness is like a beaming lighthouse for the ones lost in the ocean of madness.
That it's his kindness that lets him sleep a little bit better at night than the rest of us.
Kindness falls out of him like wax from a burning candle.
Melting him, guiding others.
Like beads of condensation on a glass of cold water,
it sticks to him,
adding to his aesthetics that not everyone can afford.
It astonishes me, how wonderfully oblivious he is to the fact that
his kindness, in its own quirkiest ways,
is making this world a better place.
