If you're wondering why my mind has been silent.
It's because memories no longer plague me, it's all non-violent.
Words I can't find to express.
For there's no rumination, nothing to digress.

Quiet and peaceful evenings I've lately enjoyed.
In better thoughts, my brain's been employed.
Or mostly none at all.
As if winter has passed and the season's fall.

As if the leaves lined with memories are shed.
The Lord has finally decided that enough I've bled.
It's a time which marks the end of things.
A time when new growth begins.

An empty mind to be filled as I see fit.
A gift of God for showing my grit.
And so I've little to converse.
An empty vessel I am in His mesmerizing universe.
