If I am asleep wake me up.
If I am away from the route of righteousness bring me back on track.
If my voice is deemed in your worship fill me up.

Dear father,
I have fetched water and blood.
Into a bowl I have drunk them.
I have cut the bread of innocence with blunt knives.
I have poured the blood of the innocence into a bin.

Dear father,
my soul keeps hushing.
my feet keeps beating.
And my faith keeps lying helplessly.

Dear father,
I can't remember you of your duty
But I can remind you of your promises.
I can't give you a contract.
But I would want you to interfere.

Dear father,
I am at the verge of self adjudication.
I've employed mental discomfort.
I've lost the tendency of your worship.
I've lost the passion for your praise.
I've lost the Afrocentric hope of believe.

Revive my indolent spirit.
Energize the morale within me.

Bestow on me the strength of Sampson.
