True Love - an unconventional emotion
True love ,
like how it is portayed in cinemas-
Red roses, romance, sweet nothing's,
possessiveness, the adrenaline rush
that's how I have been fed the idea of love.
Thanks to the larger-than-life cinemas for feeding me all fantasies.
But when in real life it is all different.
Way too different from mainstream cinemas.
There was no rush
There was no need for reassurance
No need for red roses
No need for blood gushing romance
It flew effortlessly like a ganache on a cake
so smooth and seamless
It just fits in there

A love, where I can be myself unapologetically
A love, which means his success is my happiness
A love, that isn't jealous
A love, that isn't waiting around for signs
A love, which wants me to be a part of his life
A love, that reminds me of him when I read old love stories about couple
A love, that reminds me of him when I hear the word family
A love, that is waiting to be embraced in all its grace

A love, that feels complete
A love, that makes me call him when something unforseen happens
A love, that binds two souls together gently yet strongly
A love, that we know is right there
A love, that we both know yet we don't acknowledge
we don't have to, it will eventually flow

A love, that is built on the foundation of friendship
That yearns to walk hand in hand
A love, where I am lost in your eyes
A love, where we talk multitudes of how our future must be
Yearning if one of us would slip in the thought of building it together
The love that bound you and me together.
The love that makes me the person I am
and that was how I knew true love in an unconventional emotion.
Yet the most beautiful mess
