I AM A TWIN
I'm being compared for everything I do nor say and for every way I feel,
It is the way I live my life,
I'm programed to behave a certain way that is accepted by my family and society,
But what can I say for I am a twin
Heartbreak is weakness infront of the ones I love the most,
They expect the best from me for I am a twin, paired with a powerful person perceived as a warrior... Only I know the softness within
But what can I say for I am a twin
My achievements are celebrated for only a moment,
Not seen and heard yet only my twin knows my power and capabilities,
My kindness stands out yet my strength is kept in shadows,
But what can I say for I am a twin
I am the ghost that lives within my twin,
I am the second twin for I was placed second by my family first before the society,
I am not loved less for I have my twin and myself to love me,
How I wish to be seen for who I am,
But what can I say for I am a twin
I am a living shadow of my twin,
Deep within me there's a light that shines
