With a phone in one hand
And a book in the other
Trying to put my thoughts altogether
And the thought that forms itself together in my mind is...
Is it all worth it?
Is it worth the time I've invested in?
I'm I really worthy? Are my poems any good?
How do I tell my parents that I enjoy poetry?
That I think I'm actually good at it?
That I would want to pursue it further?
I know,
They will ask will I be able to earn from it?
Is it something you want to do?Or is it just a phase?
Now that you're not in employment phase so..
And I would tell them yes, I hope so
I hope to employ myself through it but,
It's not about the money
It's about proving that you can pursue your passion, your art, your dream and still earn a good living doing something you love
And so with the phone in my hand, I write my thoughts out..
