I was way far from the truth,
Carried by the sham faith,
Till that day when I saw him,
Hanging on the cross in his human form.
He chose to suffer the agony of curse,
To give me the redemption I didn't deserve,
Till every ounce of blood oozed out,
His body bore it all in utter silence.
Never has any man so cruelly punished,
For what they never did,
As He took on him every arrow,
That came my way as the wrath of God.
He is truly my saviour,
Who took all my sins away forever,
Offering his blood as a sweet savour,
On that cross of Calvary for a sinner.
