We With bellies filled with desperate hunger,

Stand to await the promises promised.

We with needled body structures desperate for strength,

Stand to await the promises promised.

Leaking pockets with desperate poverty,

Stand to await the promises promised.

Flesh weary, bones weary, hopes weary, desperate for restoration in patience,

Still stand to await the promises promised.
