The responsibility of Happiness
The constant struggle between my will to assume my happiness and my will to preserve others from unhappiness, is more and more present.
I am torn, because decisions to take responsibility for my happiness can bode ill for those whose happiness depends on me.
They say, "You are solely responsible for your happiness!"
As definitive as that phrase may be, I feel it nuanced
Like freedom of speech, when do decisions to assume my happiness have limits?
Because very often assuming our happiness has repercussions on other people
If assuming our happiness meant the unhappiness of another person, morally speaking, would we be good people?
Knowing that the basis of the search for this happiness is the peace of mind and the peace of the soul
But does assuming our happiness finally give us this tranquility? Because the price to pay can be selfishness, hence a questioning of one's morals
I confess that my writings are sincere and without answer.....
Is selfishness amoral....?
