THE LAZY WIFE OF MY HUSBAND
The lazy wife of my husband,
Is what his neighbors call me.
They say,
“Look at her attitude,
Too wicked to raise a child!
And her evil nails,
Too long to scare a scarer! “
He answers,
“ If you knew the charm
In those nails of her,
They scratch my back all night,
As she sings me lullabies!
And her attitude,
Is what holds her uniquity
And sticks us together. “
The lazy wife of my husband,
Is what his mother calls me.
She laments,
“ The compound is untidy,
Like always!
Her dress is skimpy,
Her eyebrows put off the fire,
Her tummy is sunken!
Her waist is too tiny!”
He replies
“Mama,
If you see her own compound,
Too tidy for my liking.
I’m so seduced by her lingerie
And her confident eyebrows,
As she whines her tiny waist
When I’m lying flat
On her belly!”
