LET IT BE
#WritcoPoemPrompt21
You sat with me under the shade of the trees,
Reading out the words that made no sense,
Not once did you lose faith,
Or let me be,
The slow and steady learner,
The butt of all the jokes,
Duffer! Failure! And more speeches
The trips to the ocean and nice scenaries
The grip of the deadly memories in your sight to fight
They then got into you that you held my hands tight
And told me of how much you wanted to give a fright
to the past that made scenes of my shameful life
And that for me to give life a chance,I had to be your wife
That, was the best proposal I had in my wify dreams
But what held me back was the deal that was too good
And as said , I had to think twice before I got diced
And for your proposal,I had to let you try more
For your love didn't mean much than what they gave in the past
so today lets toast to my healing not our feelings
So we write a novella not a novel
