A year our eyes have not yet seen

One which no ear has heard

Of the time when there would be no one outside

Except animals and birds

Every person locked indoors

A kind of human zoo

When you'd sit and stare outside

And the animals would stare at you

Most people longing for freedom

To touch the dewy grass

Workers waiting to go back to work

And students back to class

2020 - what a strange time

It tries to kill us each day

Deaths, bush fires and now this plague

It's trying every way

But here's a thought - dont lose hope

We are the human race

We've survived much worse

Sent probes to outer space

So don't fret

Just stay indoors

Clean the house

Mop the floors

We'll get through this together

But stay apart

Just in distance

Not at Heart
